E.S.E. (Easy Serving Espresso) is a system created by illy for simple, quick, mistake-proof espresso preparation.
The E.S.E. pod is a single portion of illy caffè, perfectly measured and tamped, encased between two sheets of filter paper, individually wrapped.
The E.S.E.X1 machines are equipped with Trio, a mechanism that, with a simple intuitive gesture, regulates the volume of espresso in the cup: normal espresso, short (ristretto) or lungo. In only twenty seconds, with a few simple gestures, a perfect relation between taste, aroma and body is achieved in an illy cup.
